I treat AI/LLM tools as what they are, tools. I don’t outsource thinking, planning or any kind of creative activity to them.
Content on this site is 100% human-created
All content I write on this website and elsewhere is 100% human-created and human-edited. I do not use AI tools in my writing process. I believe AI tools impede creativity and learning, and thus would be harmful to developing my own writing style and skills. I also don’t want to read AI-generated content, so it’s another reason for me to never produce any.
Programming
When programming, I use AI on rare occasions as a tool, as you might use a Google search or a hammer. I don’t “vibe code”, and I manually vet, verify and adapt all AI-generated code - and often rewrite it because it doesn’t fit my style or goals. I do not believe using AI tools on a larger scale is a good idea for a multitude of reasons, which I might elaborate upon in an article someday.
